What are the benefits of soft soled shoes for babies and toddlers?

"What are the benefits of soft soled shoes for babies and toddlers?"

You'd be surprised how much we hear that question when we're at trade shows meeting our customers.

Not only are soft soled shoes, like our moccasins, stylish, they're also very beneficial for protection, comfort and foot development in babies and toddlers.

One of the most important things you need to look for when purchasing shoes for your little ones is comfort! Our moccasins are made of genuine leather and are soft and flexible, unlike traditional shoes which are hard and rigid. Our moccasins are able to stretch wide and are breathable, unlike other hard-soled shoes which can be tight around the foot and toes.

We hear a lot of people at trade shows we go to say, "why do they need to wear shoes, they can walk around and be barefoot!." We agree that barefoot walking is great and allows your little one to grip the floor with their toes and help with balance, but it can be extremely dangerous especially on surfaces where shoes are needed. Our soft and durable leather bottoms protect your little ones foot from rough or slippery surfaces, objects on the floor and cold and hot temperatures.

Our moccasins are also amazing for your baby or toddlers foot development.  Our soft moccasins allow your baby to move his or her feet freely with the needed space to do so. This helps develop the foot muscles needed for walking. Tight and hard restrictive shoes limit the amount of movement in your little ones feet.

Our moccasins provide great support for walking.  Traditional hard-soled shoes may make it hard for your children to lift them and walk causing tripping, and dragging their feet. Our moccasins are light weight and make it easier for your child to walk. Our soft soles allow your child to grip the floor or surface with their toes as if they were walking barefoot, making it easier to walk.
